New Colorado wiper record

Helped the DOW with the walleye spawn at Cherry Creek yesterday. Was nice to see that there are a lot of big fish still in that lake. Biggest walleye was around 13 pounds and they had one wiper that weighed
16 3/4 lbs. Robin Knox came out to watch for awhile and he said that a new state record wiper had been caught at Pueblo. 27
pounds!!!! Can't even imagine the fight that fish would have put up.

Wow! That would sure put the strain on the tackle that I use. I'm hoping that my Big girl Walleye I lost at Standley last year is hungry again this year! The record will be broken again soon. I'm betting that Standley is the place again too.

There's a picture of it in today's Rocky Mountain News. Pretty nice fish! Says it probably would've broken the world had it been weighed quicker.
