Ice Fished on Sat!

Went to Wheatland#2 on sat and like I thought it was opening back up.So I through out a worm on bottom and got a 20" wally! 1 bite-1 fish.Then I went 24 miles north to Toltec res. and it was frozen! 4" of ice.Caught 3-12" bobo's and a 19" bobo on white jig/worm in 12 ft of water.ICE FISHIN- YEA!!

I'm jealous that you ice fished already. I am anxiously awaiting the new hardwater season!

What is a bobo? Does Georgetown lake ever freeze over? There didn't seem to be much current at shore, but the middle is where I would be fishing, I think.

A "bobo" is a rainbow trout-its mostly used by "flailers"(fly-fisherman).Of course if you use worms for bait you could call it "garden hackle".Georgetown lake freezes early and thick-they race jeeps on it!

Yes , Georgetown lake does freeze over, but i've never fished it. always see lots of people on it though! Lots of pan-friers I've heard.
