Garmin 160

Has anybody used the Garmin 160 on their boat? I'm looking to add a depth finder to the bow and came across one at a decent price. Does anybody have any useful information on this one?

Buy it. I have had a 160 for two years and think it's great.

That is a great fishfinder, you won't be disappointed. If you find a used trolling transducer you can use it icefishing too.
I had it for 2 years and never missed a beat.

Garmin definately makes a great sonar for the price. like Valv, I use mine for front motor and ice duty also, like two for one. I also like the screen resolution better than the spendy eagle unit i have mounted on the console. It also has a feature that shows thermocline that helped us figure depth while trout/salmon trolling last summer and fall

I have a universal sonar Auto Pilot so I'm going to run it throught there. Do you guys have the same thing or what did you do with your transducer?

i just have the stock transducer and made a custom mounting bracket to attach to the large clamp around the motor
