Lake John 12/11/02

Fished John Wed. Cold, overcast, and slooow! Four guys only picked up two keepers both 15 inchers, one was a nice football. Tried everything in the box even Dan Dan's salad shrimp. I'm guessing that the front that was suppose to move in Thurs arrived early.

IceNutt, yep I know what your talking about,its tough when you wait all week,plan a trip,drive the distance,and spend the bucks and come up short. Forget about it. Now you can plan for next week.

3 of us fished Lake John all day on Saturday 14th, and only caught 20 fish. (This is slow for John). Only 2 were 17inches, the rest were dinks between 6-8inches. I've never caught so many tiny fish at John, as we did the other day. Weather was decent, but no one was catching anything.

John19, Sorry to hear that your outing to Lake John was about like mine. I was hoping it was just me or the low pressure that day. FYI the DOW loaded the lake with small trout this summer because of the low water everywhere else.

It seems that everyone I have talked says the Lake John Tournement last weekend was pretty slow. People that could watch down the hole said the big fish would just come by and nose the baits. Lots of people, for a few small fish. Has anyone else heard anything different lately about John?????
