ice john and i fished volga tuesday. we did ok.i caught 7-8 bass( three were 2-3 lbs) . ice john fished for panfish. we caught and released 30+ fish . some were really nice gils. the water is still up, but the other boat dock should be above water in a day or two. the lake is starting to turn green , but you could see a lure about three feet down. del

mariner; do you want a fishing partner? i live by the high school in sumner.if this is legal; my full name is delmar mutschler. yes volga gets lots of pressure. the gil fishing has been preety good. and yes some of them do have the worms in them. the crappies have been small. the bass get a lot of pressure , but there are some really nice fish in there!if you fish there make it early morning or late afternoon or evening. many of the boaters show up 8-10 am( there are always some there at day break) then many start leaving about 5-6 in the afternoon.

that sounds great! drove my cycle over there the other nite to check it out,it looked great, very nice ramps, parking, etc. the sign board said something about tiger skies in there? been a long time since i've been to a lake without hearing wailing jet skies!

yep they stocked muskies in there the first year, but only that year. all the times i have fished it, i have yet to see one.i think they went the way of most other eating sized fish !too many people can't read the signs about length limitts. i here reports abot guys seeing one, but nothing you can trust. i was told that one floated to shore last spring, but that is a question too. it is a fun little lake though; and considering that we have nothing else close? del

we fished the little lake sat night. we only bass fished, so not much to report about panfish other than they sure liked our tubes and senkos!!! the N.W. bay was dirty. the whole lake has a green tint to it with clumps of gunk floating some . we used tubes, hula poppers, black and blue jigs, senkos, and a buzz bait. we caught 11 or 12 between myself and my son. a few little ones; serveral 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. a couple around 3, and two that were 4 +. del

my son and i fished the little lake last night and did real well. we mainly tossed a buzz bait and a black and blue jig. we did try a slugo and a hula popper, but no takers. we caught 20 fish.( a few ;ittle ones) , but three that would push 4 lbs; alex caught one that was an easy 5, a couple of 3lbs. and several 1- 2 lbs. del

fished the lake sun morning. most of this season it has been hit or miss. a week ago a guy was really catching the crappies. ( 6-9 in range) on minnows. this morning the crappie bite was slow with most coming on a char. tube jig. the bass bite from shore has been tough. mostly due to fising pressure. any thing with any size has been taken out. out on the lake it has been some what slow . i think poss. cause of the weather changes. the lakw as getting green, but the cool nights have cleared it up some. del

raider. the lake is about three or four miles north of fayette, or south of west union . take 150 , when you see the old steps water melon building, turn east. follow the signs. if you want more info you can call me. 563-578-1000. del

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
