Red Rock Lake (Marion)

Anyone know how's the fishing at Red Rock? Which spots are hot? How the cats, eyes bitting? H-bout the White bass too?

I was in the area on the 1st. I stopped at the old road bed north east of the long bridge on 14.
The fishermen were getting some crappies and silver bass. Fishing was pretty slow.

i lived in the area for about 18 years and i have fished just about everywhere. have you give anythought to trying below the dam. i had the most luck below the dam in the smaller tributaries. i had the most luck just using a hook and sinker with a good ole nightcrawler.

Was there for an outing this past weekend and between tornado warnings, 5ft waves, and other yummy weather, managed quite a few wipers/white bass and a decent crappie. Lots of big crappie have been caught down there recently, but the weather had them off when I was there.
