Thinking about going to check the waters south of Sioux City this weekend. Think it is too early, or is it just an early excuse to get the boat out of the garage? Either way, I think I am about anxious enough to give it a look.

Mike I live in sioux city & havn't heard of anything going on at either one yet this year. But I'am like you it's about time. I may go to Snyders Sunday if it aint snowing. Good Luck let us know how you do!!!

Well, I didn't get out Sunday. Instead, I used the nice day to install new deep cycle battery, Co-pilot, and onboard charger. Seemd like such a nice day, I cleaned up boat, and got much of the spring stuff out of the way. Heck, I even put away the snowblower behind the boat. Lot of good that did. You are probably well aware of the amount of snow I was shovelling in front of my garage to drag the boat out enough to get blower back out Monday morning.

Should have just taken the canoe fishing on Sunday..

Oh well, that is "spring time" in NW IA...
