Savage .17 rifle bipod question

I just bought a savage mod. 93 in .17 WMR. In preparation for a prairie dog hunt, I have just installed a scope and am now attempting to install a bipod. Much to my surprise, there is no QD stud or swivel on the stock. Who knows the best option for installing one? My other problem is that with the large sun shade on the 50 MM scope, it fits very close to the barrel and nearly to the end of the gun. I am concerned that a barrel mounted one might obstruct the scope view. Any thoughts?

i had the same problem with a 10/22. i just baught one of those kits by uncle mike's it works just fine and it was easy
