Sorry I do not have any ideas for you in regards to Ag crops. Maybe someone else could think of some. The shade part of your description is what really limits your options. Otherwise you could scrap a little ground and plant some white clover and hope for the best. One thing that I think would work well however, is fruit trees or shrubs. You would have to ask someone in Hort. about shade tolerance but I would think native plums or even apple/crab-apple trees might work. I know the deer definitely like them. I just do not know how shade tolerant they are.
