Tru-glo sights (piece of junk)

Recommended Posts

I bought new tru-glo sights for my slug gun this year and they only lasted for a couple hours before I noticed the front fiber was busted in half and mostly gone. I can't believe how mickey-mouse they are made. There is no bracing on the front sight to keep it from snapping off whenever it comes in contact with a twig. Am I the only one with this problem? frown.gif

ive got one on my shotgun and love it. this was my second year with it and no problems at all, not even in the coldest of weather duck hunting, even getting wet. everything made has a chance of being a bad one and i think you may have gotten one of them.

Polar Bear,
You aren't the only one!Although I don't have one on my gun a friend of mine had one . Last year I carried his gun out while he dragged his deer. His sight caught on a twig and snapped right off! Boy did I felt like a heel even though I realized what a piece of #!*# the thing was. This year I installed "Firesights" by Williams on my slug gun. The fiber optic is surrounded by machined aluminum, much better quality, check 'em out. Got mine at Gander Mtn.

JBK, how much was that sight you got? I have had two of the tru-glow ones on my shotgun and they both have broke. I like the fiberoptics because I shoot so good with them, but they only last me about a hunting season.
