what kind of fish?

Maybe it's that Big Head Carp from Asia. I think it's on the St. Croix forum and there's a link with pics. Big and weird looking.

Where, if you don't mind, have you been seeing these fish? i was looking to get some sucker for cutbait,and if they are redhorse that would be nice.

ive been fishing and have been seeing this fish that is about 20 inches long and looks like a carp but seems to have a rustic red body with bright red fins. what kind of a fish is it?

Probably a Redhorse sucker (either Shorthead, River or Greater).

That sounds like a redhorse sucker. I've caught a couple of those on the Horseshoe chain. One was about 5lbs. I caught it on a wax worm while fishing for sunnies on the flats.
