Carp spawn

Does anyone know when the carp spawn? I recall them spawning, but can't remember when it was as far as what time of the year. Are they easier or harder to catch during the spawn? I know spearing them is easier, but was wondering if they bite more?

they usually spawn in early june, i have never been able to catch carp when they are spawning, but we have speared them and shot them with bow and arrow a couple times. It is really cool to watch all those fish just going crazy along the shore
