Fish On!
From time to time I catch a few Red Horse suckers. I understand there are about 5 or 6 different species--Golden, Greater, River, Silver, and Shorthead. Can anyone tell me how to tell them apart or point me to a web page that has this info? hydro
There is a book by the title of "Fishing for Buffalo" that does a great job on how to identify most members of the sucker family, including the types of redhorse. Check it out, it's good reading.
Guest
Check out my brother's and mine site- www.roughfish.comWe have, over many years of targeting redhorse, compiled a fool-proof redhorse ID method that FFB can't touch.goblin
vern
Hey Goblin, great HSOforum! Lot's of cool pictures and information. I've fished for redhorse in the spring for years, but have only recently tried to identify the different species. Thanks for the info.
