Iowa YBB Tournament

I just wanted to thank everyone that attended the 2014 Yellow Bass Bonanza. It was a huge success and we couldn't do it with out our sponsors. Thank You Clam Outdoors for showing your support and helping us make this the largest Ice Fishing Tournament in Iowa. We had around 440 anglers and they weighed over 4100 fish in 4 hours. I've attached a few photos. Thanks again!

I might have asked this last year too, but I’m curious what happens to the 4000+ fish?    Isn’t the limit like 50?  Did anyone catch all 50 and then did they keep and eat all 50?  Sounds like a fun time, but I don’t have much interest in keeping 1 8-10” yellow bass let alone 50.    Pig farmers take em or something?

DTro Im not sure if you have ever ate a Yellow Bass but they are very good to eat and they taste nothing like there relative the white bass. Most people give them a hard time because of there look. To answer your question people are exited to take them home to eat. Yellow bass have no limit and that's why people love to fish for them. They are a harvest fish and they are great for large fish fry's and no we don't give them pig farmers. Plus there are no pig farmers in Iowa.
