Seeing as you can walk to the islands, has anyone ever tried fishing out there?

I figured if people were walking out to the ice caves it might be worth a shot.

They are walking to the caves that are on the mainland shoreline, at Mawikwe Bay near Meyers Beach, not the ones on Sand or Devils islands.

BGood' Would you fish off Superior ? Same thing at Corny, I've done it but you need to take a boat with and the pack ice is usually bad.

Yep again... Danger zone! One would need to have all the PPE especially a boat to pull

The way the news made it sound here, people were walking to the island, that's why I asked. When they say first time in five years they are walking out to the ice caves, make it sound like its out to the island.
