I couldn't agree more. I typically store my hub, chairs, heater, etc in an otter sled. When I get on the ice, I drill holes, pop the hub, and then unload everything from the sled into the house. Now I'm thinking I need to customize the sled; not necessarily the house. The sled setup would just get pulled inside the house and become part of the furniture essentially. I guess it's similar to the flip over shelters in concept.

Courtlandpond, Unfortunately people on these forums(I'm accusing myself) form an opinion that there way is the only one way to fish. Granted fishing by myself or friends I'm only fishing outside or in a Fish Trap Scout. You're right I thought at one time these HUB shacks are just plain a waste of time. Then I had a kid and have another on the way. I needed a way to fish my Wife and kids warm and comfortable. I'm at the point where I decided a HUB is the way to go.

With that said, this is why ice fishing is so great. You can get into ice fishing cheap and you have many different options to setup they way you want to fish. There isn't a right or wrong way to fish just as long as you are outside having fun!!

On my Bigfoot XL4000T I sewed in extra velcro to the inside pockets. All my wife had was white velcro but it all gets covered up anyway. Whenever I put items in the pockets they would always fall out so it works great to keep everything inside the pockets. I think it would be great if Clam would do a full length velcro on these pockets or maybe even a zipper so items can stay inside the pockets.

I bought a TV tray type stand from the local Wally World that is bigger than your typical TV tray. That's what I use for a table. It's approx. 18x24" and adjusts the height to 3 different levels. My girls use it to color on and have no problem needing more room.
