How are you passing the time until first ice?

I've been spending much of it on the Atlantic Ocean fishing for cod, haddock, pollock, bluefin tuna, and striped bass. Tuna have posed the toughest challenge so far. It's been a great summer, but I can't wait to get back on the ice.

Plenty of soft water/spring/summer/fall activities to keep me busy. Golf, gardening, fishing, hunting,... I won't even think to much about ice until mid-november.

New job for me, new job for wife, sold the cabin, rented the second lake lot... oh yeah, and a ton of teenage soccer! Unfortunately, the summer rods have been collecting a lot of dust this year!
