ifishsd
how is the fishing on Sinai or thompson?
Mike Walerak
The fishing is slow but steady on Lake Sinai. Fished three days this week and caought a handful of keepers each outing. The fish seem to be scatterd, and no one particular spot is producing more fish than any others.Fished Lake Thompson last Sunday afternoon and never boated a fish. Was pretty windy and gave up after a couple hours. The people I talked to at the landing all did about the same as we did. I'm in MN right now prefishing, but will be back at the SD fish on Monday. mw

Mike Walerak
I have been fishing The Mississippi R. This is a borderwater, so the season is contiuous. We were on a school of 4lb+ sauger for two days. Where they moved to on tourny day I no clue. I am planning to get out quite abit this week, so hopefully there will be a hot bite to report. Anyone from this site fish the Lake Sinai Thursday night league?mw [This message has been edited by Mike Walerak (edited 05-03-2004).]
Rost
Hey Mike-Tell me a bit about this league. That sounds interesting to me. Honestly, Sinai is a body of water that has baffled me at times. I guess that is what makes me so interested in it.
Mike Walerak
It is a walleye league every Thurday night. It runs from 5:15 to 9:00 weigh your best 4 fish (only 1 over 20"). There can be 3 people to a team. I think it costs about $100 for the league dues. Each night They pay 40$ to the team with the heaviest basket and maybe something for big fish not sure though. they keep track of team of the year and big fish of the year. I personally have never fished it, but they say it's a blast. Some of the teams are very competative while the others go for the fun of it. Some just go to have a few beers and get away for the evening. Not sure how many spots they have left.I will get the name and number of the person to contact tonight. It would be cool to get a bunch of FM'ers in there.I did'nt get fishing last night. The warden made me stay home . She kept bringing up the fact that I have been fishing since last week. I also came down with a nasty cold last night. I'm pretty sure it is linked to missing a day on the water. mw
Rost
Sounds pretty fun! Are you required to be there every time? Let me know who is in charge!
Mike Walerak
ROST,I was not able to get the name of the guy that actually runs it. The best bet would be to just show up at the landing Thursday night at about 5:00. Or you could try to get a hold of Tom Mollengraaf he would know for sure. The ease off is at 5:15 and it is over at 8:30 the first night to go over rules etc. You do not have to fish every week but most people do so to stay in the running for team of the year.Hope to see you tomarrow night. I run a green Pro-v with a 90 Honda tiller. mw
