Drove by Waubay Bitter and Enemy. All had ice, but it looked like it was about 10 days from being open water.
With the wind and rain today along with the warmer temps might be sooner.
Two dozen were shore fishing off the Grenville grade in the NW cor.
Three guys were on the east bay of Enemy Swim out ON THE ICE. (No thanks)

I usually make the trip to waubay after ice out, and was wondering what the ice condition was. Usually launch at Grenville. Any reports would be much appreciated, getting the itch to fish the open water!

Ice all went off on L. Poinsett, Albert, and Brush, Twin Lakes, Maybe even Thompson yesterday. So it is all open water fishing here now.

Thanks for the info. Was planning on Easter weekend, sounds like it should be open by then. The countdown has begun!
