MapSD
10/18 Fished Waubay. The fishing was GREAT! The lake was like glass. As the pheasant opener was saturday, I expected a bunch of boats to come off the water before noon. That did not happen. If the new regs. take effect there will be some AWESOME ice fishing.------------------Mike ReillyMike's Maps

sloughshark
i also fished waubay on 10-18 and on 10-19. Wow was it awesome fishing! The two of us boated well over a hundred eyes on saturday. Most of them around the 15 inch mark but we could have easily kept our 4 eyes over 16 inches. Sunday we targeted them perch, it took a while but when we found them we had our 20 in less than a half hour, all ten to twelve inchers, and they were very tasty i might add. We fished straight east of the Kanago access and a shade back north. pretty much all alone both days. I would definitely agree with those new proposed regs on waubay. Many of the walleyes we caught were looking a little skinny, I think it would be a good idea to thin some of them out to better promote the growth of those fish.
