did some some ice checking on my way home from Huron yesterday. Checked Thompson, Whitewood, 81 ponds and all had some big open water in spots and neither were completely iced over. Hopefully the wind doesnt keep them that way and the cold spell will get things locked up this week. Some chances for rain/snow later this week and a brief warm up into the 40's. Hopefully nothing that will set the ice making back.

 

I am sure the lakes further north of Hwy14 are fairing better. Anyone else have any ice reports?
