The MN DNR Eagle cam pair has laid their first egg of 2017.  Note that both the DNR Eagle Cam and the DNR Falcon Cam have new servers;

They have three eggs already.  The DNR cam also has a new feature that allows one to go back and review the previous several hours.  That's how I found out about the three eggs, I actually saw them when the hen shifted her position.

This is a screen capture from the MN Eagle nest cam.  The three eggs are showing.  There should be hatching in about a week or less.

Three?  Wow.  Of all of the eagle nests on Vermilion that I have seen, there have never been more than two chicks.   At least that made it far enough to be seen from the water.

Last year this same pair also laid three eggs and proceeded to raise all three chicks to fledging.  Very good parents apparently.

All three eggs have now hatched.

The eagle cam broke and is off line for the rest of the season, but according to the DNR it looks pretty certain that this pair is going to raise all three chicks to fledging again this year.  They must be good parents.
