Dano2
HI, just wondering if someone can tell me where to find the Soth dakota pheasant hunting regs. fees etc., for non residents.seriously thinking about it this year and noticed that theres even alot of public land around the highway 12 (roberts county I believe) area on the way to aberdeen.Has anyone hunted that area?According to their atlas, theres pheasants and grouse in these areas, but it would also be nice to see a roadside count from this year as well.thanks for any info. you can provide.Just trying to decide between SD and ND. I know being from MN, I'm not too welcome over in ND so I may chose SD. thanks

fishhook8
I go to SD every year was raised on as farm their but left 40 years ago to go into the Navy. Came to Minn because of jobs. The public land is very crowded the first few weeks of the season. The good news is their are alot of birds. Last year I saw as many birds as I did in the early sixtys. If you have a dog. Don't be afraid to walk road ditches ajacent to crops. If you have another partner with a dog play hop scotch let your partner let you off drive a 1/2 mile, he gets out and walks when you get to the vehicle you jump ahead and so on. Don't miss this year it will be acceptional again.
