czl99
I am going to hunt with a bow this year for turkey hunting. I was wondering if i can have my gun with me at the same time just incase something goes wrong.
psegriz
Don't see why not, turkey are legal w/both weapons and there is not a separate season for either weapon. GRIZ
Ruttin' Buck
Might want to check the regs for sure. That's a great question. I know for bear you can use shotgun (slug), rifle, pistol or bow all of course meeting the minimum requirements. But I believe it was just a few years ago that the regs were changed to say you can now carry more than one at a time in the woods. I'm a little rusty on that particular verbage as I only carry my bow (and a knife) for bear so I've never had a reason to be concerned with that particular regulation. It may be now that you can only carry a bow and a sidearm. In any event, historically there means there have been regulations stating the use of only one weapon during any given field outing. Why this was, I'm not certain? I don't remember seeing this restriction in the turkey information and I don't have the literature with me. A email to the DNR may be in order.
