need help?? if your not actually planning on hunting this year, apply for area 99. it will give you a preference point without being in the drawing. then at next years application time, if you decide to hunt you will be in the drawing with 2 preference points which aint bad odds. if you select 99, then decide to hunt you can then attempt for a surpluss tag, if you get a surplus tag, it dose not take away your preference point.

that's what I will do Boar.  Thanks.  I can do it myself looked pretty simple once I figured out the confusing map part around Leech Lake which we aren't in.

Also, my neighbor we deer hunt with already grumbled to me about bear hunting where we deer hunt and I need some time for him to get accustomed to my new activity.  It's one of those  he complains about everything, grouse hunting, sneezing, the elderly couple going for a walk you name it.  He deer hunts maybe two days and wants a high fence secluded atmosphere.

I put in for zone  24 and 31

over the weekend I put in for area 99 for preference points. next year I will actually apply to get licence! they moved around the zone 26 boundries but appears to not really affect where I set baits. the amount of permits for that area surprises me though.......only 75!
