Wild Willie
I just acquired a wonderful male pup just two months ago from a breeder located in LeRoy, Mn. My pup will be seven months old tomorrow. I acquired him when he was five months old and I could not be any happier. Great looking dog with tremendous drive and instinct. Wonderful personality, smart as a whip, plenty of drive, great nose and retrieves to boot. The breeders name is Ben Jacobsen and his phone number is 507-324-5558. This guy really knows what he's doing. You can't go wrong. He has one litter mate of my pup left. The pups name is Doc and I know for a fact he would be every bit as good as the pup I selected. He is field tested and hunted. A truly fine looking Brittany. I also believe Ben has a few younger pups left from a different litter. I am guessing they are four months old by now. Give Ben a call and he will give you all the specifics regarding bloodlines. He is located down by the Iowa border. Takes about 90 minutes to get there from the Cities. Well worth the drive if you are looking for what I would consider a rock solid investment in your hunting future! He and his wife are the nicest people you would ever want deal with. They take great pride in producing top of line Brittanys. Simply put...just great folks!
mouse
Willie: That would be a great option for me as I only live about an hour east of Leroy. If you don't mind my asking, how much did that pup set you back. Having a realistic price will help when I meet with the family comptroller. She doesn't like surprises very much. Thanks for your help.
Wild Willie
I believe his going rate is $325 per pup. I paid $375 for my five month old. I'm guessing, if Doc is still available, he would ask a little bit extra to cover additional food and kennel expenses. Each pup comes with a three year replacement guarantee against hip dysplasis, eye disorders and any other genetic desorder that can be traced back to the breeder. A steal as far as I'm concerned considering the caliber of Brittany you will be acquiring.Give Ben a call! Let me know how things pan out for you!
