chequamegon bay/ apostle islands?

myself and a few friends are looking to take a weekend trip to ice fish either the apostle islands or chequamegon bay in two weeks, anyone have a conditions report? areas to avoid to not go swimming, any help is greatly appreciated

People are out fishing on the Ashland side. However, I believe it's still open water around the islands. The Bayfield side of the bay finally froze over yesterday. If you type in Bayfield, WI webcam, you can check it out everyday and see the conditions.
