Pheasant in the freezer

How long can you keep a pheasant in the freezer before taking it to the taxidermist?

I had mine in the freezer for about a month before I took it in. I think you are probably safe for a month or 2. What you don't want to happen if for the skin to freezer burn. If that happens, the taxidermist will have a tougher time getting the bird skinned out.
