Muskieguy
As I posted last week I went to Pheasant Dreams to give pheasant hunting a try. We had a great time, shot all the birds we released plus 1 scratch bird(missed 2). Here is my question..I have a Winchester Model 50 auto-loader that is made for right handed shooters.(hand me down from my grandfather to my father to me) The saftey is on the front of the trigger guard. Well, I am a left handed shot and I have to reach under the trigger guard to unsaftey my gun, by that time my buddies already had 1 shot off. Would a gun shop be able to reverse the saftey to the left side????? Muskieguy...
Crossin' Eyes
The answer is YES.Any good gunsmith can switch this for you and it doesn't cost much. I have a good friend who had to do that with a Rem. 870 that he owned. Even though the 870 is a more popular gun, a gunsmith should be able to get the safety from Winchester and set you up.------------------Good Fishin!Crossin
BlackLabGuy
Keep in mind that if you switch it over it will be opposite of MOST other guns and may not be as "safe" when others pick up your gun and don't realize that it is a lefty.I'm left handed and have gotten used to reaching under/over for the trigger and very seldom get beat to the shot. Practice will make this a non-issue !
