th64
Would like to catch pannies or walleye have to walk and would like good ice-Ideas? We might go to Red but seems like a gynormous lake to be walking on. On Red do people stay in a motel on ice some of each? Famous dude (I will not name drop) at the ice show told me about a good walk to spot on Leech but I am not sure that part of the state has enough ice yet, seems like all the ice is in NW Minnesota. Would be nice to go to a lake like Trout with no ATVs at all ( am I jealous of the ATV guys-yep) PM me if you want we keep stuff secret and I only do trips a couple of times a year so your spot would be safe---Thanks
th64
Some good ice at Leech, may go there. Some parts of Leech have 8'' some parts are still open! Seems weird to me
RiverChuckNorris
Hope you do well. Early ice is special for sure. Leech bays should be fine for walking or atv/sled travel. Some guys are fishing Vermillion now and finding 6"+ out 1/2 mile. Im heading up near Ely tomorrow with the Mrs and will get a little fishing in as well.
