What's with the tick's!

Have any other gouse hunter's out there found as many tick's as I have? Small (deer) tick's! Me and the boy's walked a little tonight and I bet we found a dozen on us when we where done. It's scarin' me. I've lived and hunted grouse in northern MN all my life and it seem's every year there's more. All the time I spent in the wood's from the middle 70's to the late 80's nobody even mentioned tick's after July. Anoyone have an answer?

Was out last weekend and after the first trail I pulled 12 off the dogs head alone. Needless to say picked up a tick collar one the way home.

I've never had any luck with tick collars but a product called "Front Line" works great. You need to get it from the vet.

Front Line works great! In the two years we have had our lab we have only pulled two ticks from her and one of those was before we started with Front Line.

The only problem that we have noticed is that for acouple of days after you apply it the dog is supose to stay out of the water. Keeping my lab out of the water is almost cruel and inhumane she loves it and looks at me like I am punishing her when she can not go in.
