I just spent the weekend greasing and getting my cables and winches ready for the winter. Am I glad I did. The pipe in a pipe that my wheelhouse goes up and down on were really rusted. Plus one of the cable pulleys was rusted tight. I had my last house for 10 years and only cleaned them once but this one might not have made it another year. Don't trust your zerts, it's easier now than at 30 below and much easier than if they stop working on the lake. A friend just went and bought a 3 year old Ice Castle and the seller couldn't get it to go down. He did before my friend would buy it but it meant torches and welding. CHECK THEM NOW!
