Who's getting excited?

With antelope season in full swing and bear opening in a week,who has the opener gitters?

I know I do, I am leaving in 9 days for my second year of chasing elk in far western Montana. I gave myself 16 days of hunting time this year and will hopefully be bringing home some antlers. Even if it doesn't work out that way it will still be a blast. It is more like a hunting vacation while I'm out there. My best friend moved out there 10 years ago and even though we talk frequently it is not the same as being back in the woods together making lifetime hunting memories. 

 

 

So what is everyone else getting excited for?

I'm getting pumped for the same thing as you... Heading to Montana in 8 days. Can't wait to chase elk around again, though I only have 8 days to get it done. Went to school in Missoula for 4 years and this will be my second trip back with my dad to hunt elk. Hoping for cool weather and cooperative wind! Good luck out there and stay safe. Hoping you can bring home a big Bitterroot bull.

Maybe we should exchange some info. I leave the 3rd and will be hunting the whole valley from Hamilton all the way down to the southeast of Sula,even thinking about hitting the big hole for a few days.

I won't be hunting the Bitterroot, but you can shoot me a message if you want my input as far as experiences down there go. I'll be in the Highwoods near Great Falls, but I have hunted 270 and other areas between Missoula and Hamilton.
