Dano2
anyone have a problem with them?(Your dog, I mean)what does it look like?My dog has had a problem nagging on her left ear for sometime now.I put the cleaner in there, massage the canal.I have been doing this about every 3 days to try an get rid of the brown slimy crusty dump.I see she now has a couple bloody spots in there, probably from itching it.the vets are obviously spendy just for a visit its $35 just to look, then whatever else i need to buy.any input would be goodthanksP.S. its a Lab ,by the way
Mr. B
That sounds sort of like the ear infection that my Lab has right now. I went to the vet, because I had no idea what to do. I did spend a large amount of money or the vet and the stuff they gave me but they do seem to be working. They gave me otifoam, otirinse and otimax to keep her ears clean and to clear up the infection.I think part of the reason I paid so much was it took 3 techs and the vet to hold my 60 lbs lab down so they could clean and treat her ears. If any one has advice on keeping a lab still while you treat the ears I would love to hear about it.
Dano2
O.K. thats probably it, she had the same brown dump last year and thats what it was, and infection, just thought maybe it would be something else becasue theres some weird looking small dark slimy ugly pieces that come out too when i clean it.when I treat my dog for ANYthing, cutting nails, treating ears and even brushing, I set her up on the open end gate of my truck.Anything high seems to make her sit more still. sometimes I'll even bring her in and throw her on top of the washing machine, but the wife hates the hair, heh.time to go to the vet again i guess and get some more antibiotic
