Herky Jr. and I spent a few hours this afternoon hitting our usual spots in the north metro.  We did pretty well (see below) with some chanterelles and a very nice young chicken.  But boy is it ever buggy!  I don't ever recall a year with worse mosquitoes, gnats, biting flies, you name it.  Bring the DEET if you're going out, boys!

 

The first pic is the COTW, then our chants.  Any ideas on the other two mushrooms (sorry for the multiple pics).
