LOW Lover
Did anyone make it to the Pheasant Fest put on by Pheasants Forever? How was the show? Was it geared for the everyday hunter? From what I read about it, the show looked fairly good, I wish these organizations would make events like this more centrally located in the Twin Cities!Low Lover
WaveWacker
Attended the fest on Friday, stayed Friday night and attended again on Sat. There where some great Seminars and speakers that where open to the public along with a trade show that had anything you could of wanted. The Leopold impersonator was exactly what my idea of what Aldo Leopold would have really been like and there was one of Aldo Leopold's students that said a few words as well. Almost brought a tear to my eye. For me the best part of the show was being able to talk to other individuals from around pheasant country about the different conservation efforts that are being done in other states. As far as being more centrally located, it was at the Radison Bloomington and this was a national conference. There where people from multiple other states there so if they made it there I don't see how there can be any complaints on location. I do think that the event was larger then what was expected and that the Radison facilities may have been a little undersized but, oh well. All in all an excellent show and salute to some superior conservation efforts!!
