Anyone having any luck hunting Pheasants?

We are heading out this weekend to chase pheasants and are planning on going out around Willmar or Benson, but thought I would check here to see if anyone had any recommendations for other areas.

Go to Iowa, it is worth the drive.

I should have listened to ya Hardy, we walked from 9:00 am till dark and didn't get a single bird, only flushed 1 hen, When I look at the dogs I can see them cussing me out by the look in their eyes.

Had a great day in Iowa today. we got down there about noon after we were done goose hunting. We kicked up alot of birds, more hens than roosters but those are the breaks. It was alot of fun actually seeing that many birds in one place. Heading back down there tomorrow to grind them up. Good Hunting!!!

Hey Hardy...How far into Iowa do you have to go? and what general area? is there alot of state land down there?

Mthunter,

I was with nick and we hunted almost all public land. We made it about 15 minutes into Iowa before we started seeing birds. Then we wander around from there.
We have also had some luck west of 35.
