Tailgating

I have a stupid question for ya's.

My son won 2 tickets for the Oct 24 dome game. (Pretty cool, eh?) I haven't been to a Vikings game since they played at the Met and I don't know my way around downtown MPLS. I live about 4 hours away.

Does anyone know if there is a place a guy can show up Sat evening in a small RV and do the tailgating thing? Or am I pretty much stuck to driving up in the car, parking, go to game, drive away?

Thanks in advance for the help. I really want the kid to experience Vikings games like I used to.

You can tailgate in the parking lots on Washington Avenue in the vicinity of the old Milwaukee Road depot.

There's always stuff happening around the Dome, too.

otto, don't go getting the wrong idea about me cuz I'm far from a Packer fan, but yous pack fans definately know how to tailgate.

I just hope that if a new stadium gets built some smart guys figure out that right smack dab in the middle of MPLS is the wrong place for it.
