Bowfishing Lakes by Crosslake?

I took up spearing this winter and went out bowfishing last summer and loved it! I have a cabin in the Crosslake area and am thinking of investing in a bowfishing boat but don't know much about the lakes in the area. The lake my cabin is on has tons of bullhead s but no large rough fish to speak of. Any ideas? I want to make sure I have a few options before I invest in a boat. Thanks

i'm not at all familiar with your territory, but a quick look on Google maps and I see you're surrounded by tons of water- gotta be some good shallow carp lakes and streams there somewhere. Hope you figure it out. Bait shops or archery shops should know.

Anamod, Not fully sure on that, but you can probably head up the Pine River which comes out of Upper Whitefish I think? You'll run into carp and redhorse. The Gull River, not exactly close by but there are tankers in there.
