Got a chance to get out and look for sheds and do some scouting pull tree stands. First steps into the woods I walk into 5 strutters that I could see only 45 yards from me. Sat and watched for a bit and noticed all the woods was moving in front of me. Flock of maybe 60 or more birds and now I see more strutters must of been 20 strutters with a few Jakes mixed in. I moved in a little more and they did not even care . They moved off gobbling and yelping. Once they got further away I backed out so I would not push them too bad.

Sure got me going and we have a couple kids this year coming out so I'm hoping they have good luck. Put out a couple cameras hope we can get some good shots of the birds.

No dead birds or deer this March, last year 5 dead deer and 15 dead turkeys after the bad winter. So looking good so far. No sleep all of spring cannot wait.
