Frostline

Anyone know how deep the frost line is currently? Or if the ground has thawed yet in the NW Wisconsin area, or MN equivalent? Hinkley area?

I am headed to the cabin this weekend, and I was hoping to start digging holes to plant apple trees. I wont have the trees until the middle of April, and I thought I would get a head start digging the holes for them.

I just took some temps checks in my yard in Eden Prairie and all of my temps were under 40 degrees. Lots of frost still in the ground.

The air may warm up quickly, but the ground (and most lakes) are still frozen solid.

Good luck I'm guessing there is still plenty of frost in the ground.
