tazimna
Last year speedo went down. Had the bearing replaced, etc(think they called it jackshaft bearing).Haven't put 100 miles on since and it was not working the other day again, so am wondering if it's a speedo issue or bearing. If I take the cable off near shaft, should I be able to spin the cable by hand or using a drill and see the speedo moving if it works? If it does move when cable is spinned, do i assume it's the bearing again? Taz
Walleyehooker
Must be a Arctic Cat? There is a small piece that usually breaks that connects the speedo cable to the drive shaft. Either bearings are bad or speedo cable isn't spinning freely. Look underneath if bearing are bad shaft will be off center. Disconnect cable and see if end is broke off and/or will turn freely
