Bureaucrat Posted February 10, 2015 Share Posted February 10, 2015 I had bought an extra battery for my Ion towards the end of last ice season. This year, it started giving me issues by not holding a charge. I had about 3 weeks left on my 12 month warranty. I called it in this morning and they are sending out a new battery to me tomorrow. All I needed was a copy of my receipt and to send the defective one back to them. I had to go through a few troubleshooting questions first to illustrate I understood the keep-warm always-charge issues. Shortly after that, it was all said and done. I bought an 8" w/ reverse last Nov., put the battery on the charger one day and got blinking red lights (too hot or too cold or something)!? I unplugged the charger, let it sit a day, next day it charged just fine. I called Ion & explained what happened...2 days later a new charger unit was on my doorstep! No questions asked...sent me another one. So, now I have 1 to leave in my Ice Castle and 1 to leave at home so I don't risk forgetting it on a long outting!
