Great Lake Erie for monster Walleye?

I am looking into packing up the truck and headed to Ohio seeking the huge Walleyes in Lake Erie. Just wondering if anyone has ice fished out there and where they have gone out of.

From what I've seen Port Clinton is a popular spot.

Just be sure to make a few phone calls to the port clinton area to get ice conditions before planning too much out. It varies and I think some years it doesn't even get thick enough to safely fish.
