auger extensions

I've got an ion auger and would like to get a "6 inch" extension for it. Does anybody out there make 6 inch extensions. I have a 12 inch but it feels like I'm riding a high rider cycle when I use it

that's kind of a strange request as the Ion is already shorter than typical augers, thus they make a 24" extension for thick ice...You're probably stuck having to find a metal shop to cut, then bore out a new threaded hole.

Get a clam drill plate extension, they fit the Ion and are adjustable. I believe the shortest hole gives 6 inches of extension.

I agree, the Clam extendable is the way to go. You never have to take it off, it just slides into the drill.
