Day trip to Mille lacs this weekend

Was planning on heading to Mille Lacs for the day on Sunday with the portable. Never have fished Mille lacs during the winter, any suggestions on places to drive out from. Targeting walleye and perch. Not interested in taking a meal of either home just looking for a day away from Southern Minnesota. Any help will be appreciated.

I have a house on the south end, 2 weekends so far, 1 23 inch, 2 12 inch walleyes and small perch. Good thing your not looking for a meal because I haven't caught one for over 4 years! Good luck.

my son was out of Hunters on Sunday on 3 mile bar. they caught 9 eyes

Wow bturk! I was on three mile Sunday and we caught one northern on a tip up the whole day, no one I talked to caught more than one walleye that day. Marks on the Humminbird but no bites. Was he night fishing because the bite was real tough during the day.
