Just curious as I can't find any regulation specifying this, but is it legal to fish in trout streams that have a good Northern Pike population when your intent is to target only the pike? Or is it not legal during the non-trout season?

There is a stream nearby where I live where there is an abundance of good sized pike, however I do believe it is designated as a trout stream, even though I personally have never caught a trout out of it. Apparently there's rainbows and some browns, but again I've only ever caught pike out of there.

Legal or not legal? Thanks.
