Regarding the "losing multiple wounded deer" threads that were deleted, can the moderators expound on why they were pulled? I'm just curious how we go about having a constructive conversation about the subject, without offending anyone yet exploring it and hearing people's thoughts on it? Or is it one of those that is taboo and we'll just never be able to discuss it?

Its the nature of the internet. Its almost impossible to have a constructive conversation about something like that. It was fairly obvious that the threads were about 1 step away from being nothing more than ragging on a guy that we don't know regarding circumstances that we are unsure about. Not much to be gained by that.

If you hope to learn something from the situation then I'd suggest posting a question regarding shot selection, practice techniques, proper equipment choices, or other elements that are required for a clean ethical kill and a quick recovery. I'm not saying the previous individual did any of these things wrong but I'm guessing all these things would have been put under scrutiny.
