Mid mount will build up ice, snow, slush, and high center you.

Front mount no rails to hang up but you still have the weight of the plow sagging the front end.

I'd bend this mount before the mid mount but can bend a mid mount too. smile

Unless your on the lake plowing its best to drop the plow.

I have the American Manufacturing Eagle Plow that is shown above with the mid mount. I spoke to the guys at American and based on what I was plowing they recommended the mid mount. I have a 3/4 mile dirt drive and multiple buildings to plow out at the cabin. They said if it is for a typical metro drive, then from mount. This is the second plow I have owned and I really like the Eagle product. It is much easier to install, adjust (turn) and generally does a better job cleaning snow. Also look at the ATV winch savers. I got one from the big C last year and this was the first year I did not break a winch cable. As much as I hate snow, it makes the process tolerable.
