Bambito
I just bought a small 6x8 perm. Wheel house. The guy I bought it from had an old pearson propane stove that came with it. (It's the anvil shaped one) I have heard good things about the heater except that you might not want to sleep in a house with one going because if the flame goes out it is putting straight propane in to the house. I'm the type where safety comes first so I was thinking of getting a ventless wall mounted heater. What kind do all you guys use and how hard are they to install? Also my house is only 6x8 so I don't think I need a 30000 btu. What size should I be looking for? Thanks. Also if you have any input on the pearson stove I would like to hear it! Thanks again! Greenhornet84
If its safety first you will want to go with a vented heater.
JSK76
You would be fine with a 10,000 btu in that size house, I've done it in a 6x14 with no problems. Vent free is about as easy as it gets for the install. Do you plan on sleeping in the house? Ventless isn't exactly sleeping safe either. Since you already have a heater with a chimney I would look at Nu-Way 2000 model. They have the oxygen depletion that your stove now doesn't have plus no carbon monoxide unlike the vent free.Today I just ordered a vent free 10,000 for my 4x6 but I don't plan on sleeping in it and I did add two 3" vents on each end of the house and will possibly add more if needed, I also have a CO detector. I would have gone with a Nu-Way but don't have room for one in that size house. I don't care for the moisture a vent free puts out but i don't have much of a choice.
